East Heritage Elementary School

Melissa Fleming

Welcome to East Heritage! My name is Mrs. Fleming and I’m thrilled to be your child’s teacher! It is such a special year for you and your family and I am honored to be a part of it. I have taught in Etiwanda for 22 years. Education is my passion and I have high expectations for myself and my students, but I also work to create a very safe, nurturing environment for all my students. Our classroom runs on love & kindness! I truly enjoy serving my families and promise to take great care of your child!

I attended Concordia University in Irvine and Cal State University San Bernardino; where I earned my Bachelor’s Degree and Multiple Subject Cross-Cultural Credential. I’ve been happily married for 21 years. My husband is a firefighter and we have three wonderful children. My oldest son is 18. My daughter is 16. My youngest son is 14 years old. They are my pride and joy! Of course, they keep me very busy, but spending time with my family makes me happy. We love sports, camping, skiing, and being outdoors! I also love reading, coffee, walks with my dogs, & TEACHING little ones!!

Announcements

Every month your child will get a new Reading Log for homework. Please have them color one picture every time you read a book together. Students who return them at the end of the month will get a reward.

Please make sure to label everything with your child's name and send them to school with the following items daily;

  • backpack

  • Explorer Folder

  • snack

  • water bottle

If you need to give me anything, it can be placed in the Return to School side of the Explorer Folder.

If your child is absent, please call the Attendance Hotline at 909-803-3009 to notify the office.
