Welcome to the 2024-2025 school year!
The Update:
We had an amazing time celebrating Lunar New Year with Mrs. Yamashita (Mrs. Herrera’s mom). We tried bao, chow mein noodles, fried rice, gin dui, egg custard, almond cookies, and fortune cookies. We graphed what we liked and what we didn't. We used chopsticks and Mrs. Yamashita (or "Mamashita" as the PM kiddos named her) also gave everyone a lucky red envelope with money and lucky candy. Thank you for sharing with us, Mrs. Yamashita!
We continued our theme “On the Move” with “Transportation.”
We learned all about the letter Ff - we said it, we learned the sound, we learned to recognize it, we read My Ff Book, we built it with wooden pieces, we learned how to write it, we brought sharing and talked about it, and we wrote about it. After being immersed in it, we are hoping that your child will know it. Please practice it -- along with the letter Tt, Mm, Ss, Cc, Hh, Ww, Uu, Ii, Dd, Ll, Bb, Pp, Rr, Gg,Yy, Oo, and Ee.

Some reminders:
The behavior calendar must remain in the orange Fox Folder every day. Please make sure that you write their PBIS point amounts on there daily. The students will be getting responsibility PBIS points for returning it daily along with having it signed. "Shopping Day" is Friday!
Please label all jackets, sweatshirts, and UMBRELLAS, etc.
Please help your child pack a water bottle daily.

Mrs. Yamashita talked about the food and showed everyone how to use chopsticks .
She taught everyone how to say , "Happy New Year!" in Chinese and then gave everyone a red envelope.
We tried new foods -- and we practiced our math graphing skills too!
The majority of the students liked everything!
