expectations

We keep it very simple at Golden with three schoolwide expectations:

Be safe, respectful, and responsible!

Those expectations will help guide all students to shine bright as Golden Stars!

A note informing you about your child's weekly. behavior will come home every Friday. Please sign and return to school on Monday. Also, keep an eye out for "Praise Mail" and other notes that may come home regarding your child's outstanding behavior. I love communicating with parents to share successes and exciting achievements!

Thank you very, very much for your support at home!

meet me

Erica Reed family

Hello Golden Families! My name is Erica Reed and I am VERY excited to be your child's teacher for the 2024-2025 school year!  This will be my 16th year teaching, and 11 of those years have been in the fourth grade classroom. I have also taught kindergarten, first grade, and third grade.  Golden is an amazing place, and I am honored to be here at this phenomenal school.

I attended San Diego State University where I received my BA in Liberal Studies with a Minor in Child Development.  The following year I attended CSU Northridge where I received my Multiple Subject Teaching Credential.

I am happily married to my husband, Patrick, and we have two wonderful children. This is a special time for our family because Lily (5) and Ryan (4) attend school here at Golden and are two of our littlest Stars on campus! We also have a very sweet Labrador named Ollie.  I love spending family time outdoors; camping, the river, baseball games, the beach, and more.

Teaching is my passion. My mission is encouraging all students to be the best version of themselves and achieve their full potential. Watching my students grow each year is an incredible experience, and I'm honored to be part of your child's journey.

I am eager to meet my new students and families. It's going to be an amazing year!

-Mrs. Reed
