Hello Families! My name is Mrs. Asmar I am your child's 3rd grade teacher! I believe that every child can learn and will achieve to his or her fullest potential.

I am thrilled to be a part of your child’s education this year.   I attended Cal State SB earning my Bachelors in Liberal Studies and Multiple Subject Teaching Credential. I continued my quest by earning my Masters in Leadership and Administration along with my Administrative Credential. This will be my 14th year in the Etiwanda School District and my 8th year teaching at John L. Golden.

We will spend a lot of time working on developing strong work habits, organizational skills, and increasing student responsibility! I know if we all work TOGETHER, this will be a positive experience!.  As we go through the school year I ask you to keep the following in mind: 

• Please allow me to set high expectations and motivate your child to meet those expectations. Your child is capable of great things!

 • As 3rd graders I will encourage them to take responsibility for their actions. This is such an important skill to learn! 

• In our class we learn that every choice has a consequence that can be positive or negative. We discuss daily how they are the only ones who are in control of their actions.

• I tell my students every day that they need to “work hard and be nice to others..” In order for this year to be successful, they will need to meet me halfway and do their personal best, and to pay attention! Please know that I am here for your kids.
