Margaret Berry

Let me introduce myself...

My name is Margaret Berry. I live with my 20 year-old son Bryar Thomas, who will be starting his junior year of college at UC Santa Barbara. I received my Bachelors of Arts degree from California State University, Northridge, my Multiple Subject Teacher’s Credential from Chapman University, and an M.A. in Educational Technology from Azusa Pacific University. This is my 29th year teaching at the elementary level. I’ve taught 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th grade. This is my 24th year with the Etiwanda School District and my 22nd year at Grapeland Elementary.

My Philosophy...

My philosophy of education stems from the belief that all children possess the ability to learn and grow. I believe every child is exceptional in his or her own right and that every child, regardless of his or her level of ability, should be given the opportunity to learn. I hope that in sharing this philosophy with many of you we can make this a successful year for us all. My goal is to make this a challenging and rewarding year for your child. I do believe that learning should be fun and exciting as well as challenging and YES! my motivation runs high. I strongly believe that if we all work together, keeping our focus on the individual needs of your child, we will see some really terrific things happen this year.

I want to thank you now for all the support I know you will be giving me in the months to come. Please, if you have any questions feel free to call me here at school or reach out to me through email. I am so looking forward to meeting you all personally.

With Warm Greetings,
Mrs. Berry

CAMP NEWS

And just like that, we're headed into the 2nd trimester. I am so proud of the hard work I see daily in the classroom. I appreciate the time spent at home reinforcing good reading and homework habits. Please know it makes such a difference in your child's achievement.

Just a few reminders: Homework is due daily. Binders need to be kept neat and organized. Students should be reviewing vocabulary and or/spelling skills daily.

Check planners daily for homework assignments and upcoming assessments.
