This is my 29th year in the Etiwanda School District, I also taught English two years in Japan, with this being my second year in eighth and 17 years in seventh grade math/science and 31st year teaching. I have degrees in liberal arts, in education K-8, and a masters in educational administration.

All four of my children went through Summit and currently have two young adults in college and my two oldest daughters are teachers, including my oldest teaching at Heritage Intermediate.

.
I was married this summer! I am passionate about learning and have high expectations for myself and my students! I expect each student to do his or her best. I truly love what I do. I enjoy playing and watching sports. I also spend time fishing, hiking and reading.

I love helping students be successful in school and life. My room is open before school (expect for my duty day which is Thursday morning), frequently at lunch, and after school at times for extra help.

Mission for the Class

We will work together, learn together, and celebrate our successes together!

1. Can't is not allowed in our classroom. Can't means I quit and I don't allow my students to quit. We persevere!

2. Always do your best! Everybody's best is different. I expect whatever his/her best is on everything they do.

3. Everyone can be a successful student. I truly enjoy helping students in doing their best. I will make time before school, after school or at lunch if they need extra help.

4. Respect one another. I want my classroom to be like a healthy family.
