Hello 2nd Grade Families!

My name is Miss Rodriguez and I am thrilled to be your child's teacher. There are so many exciting things we're going to learn and experience together, and I can't wait to share them with you! It's going to be a wonderful year.

I received my teaching credential, M.A. and & B.A. from the California State Polytechnic University, Pomona in education & child development. During my time as an educator, I have had experience teaching 1st, 4th and 5th grades. This will be my fifth year teaching 2nd grade, and I couldn't imagine a better job!

When I'm not in my classroom, I love spending time with my family and friends, playing sports, camping and hosting parties. I'm a huge advocate for healthy eating, and I love to spend my weekends going to local farmer's markets & gardening. In my downtime, I love nothing more than reading a good book on my couch with a cup of coffee or tea.

I value open minds, high standards, positive relationships, fun learning experiences, collaboration and communication in my classroom. It's my goal to ensure each child has the opportunity to go above and beyond in their learning.

I'm looking forward to getting to know each one of your students. It's going to be a great year!
