Welcome back! I hope you all had a fun summer! It will be an exciting year in third grade. In math, we will be learning things like multiplication and division, geometry, and making graphs. We will be reading different genres of books like fantasy, realistic fiction, and expository (real-life) texts. In science, we will explore topics like the weather and forces. Finally, in social studies, we will learn about things like communities, Native Americans, and maps, maps, maps! I love art, so we usually have a weekly art project that we do in class.
We have daily homework that is due the next day which includes math, independent reading, and spelling/vocabulary. You will find your child's homework in their binder reminder and you can check this website for what is to be done, or check your Remind app.
I look forward to a fun and exciting school year with a lot of learning ahead!
