A great teacher takes a hand, opens a mind and touches a heart!
Hi! My name is Nichole Singelakis and I love teaching Kindergarten! This is my 22nd year teaching and 26th year working in the Etiwanda School District. I received my Master's Degree in Education and California teaching credential from Azusa Pacific University. I have a BA degree in Liberal Studies with an emphasis in Child Development from the University of La Verne. I have a wonderful, adventurous family. My husband is a paramedic/firefighter. We have two beautiful children, Jenna (19) and Talin (11). We enjoy camping, exploring tide pools at the beach, riding dirt bikes in the desert, riding bicycles on the trail by our house, and tubing and wake boarding behind our boat. We also have one fur baby, Koda, who loves chasing squirrels and a cat, Milo. We also have chickens, goats and a cockatiel!
I will be working extremely hard to establish our classroom as a happy, challenging, comfortable, safe learning environment where we all do our personal best. However, you and your child will be working equally hard to make this year a successful and rewarding experience. I encourage you to take the time to sit down with your child and discuss what they are learning and reinforce that learning at home. I believe that each child brings their own unique talents, experiences, and personality to share in our classroom. I look forward to learning with your child and sharing a curriculum with them that is common core aligned, enriching, and sparks their interest. One of my goals is to help create a love of learning!
Mission Statement: My mission as a Kindergarten teacher is to motivate, inspire, encourage, and support students by providing a safe, secure and loving environment to educate them academically, socially, emotionally, and cognitively so they can continue to build a foundation for lifelong learning.
I'm looking forward to another great year!
