The Alternative Studies Center (ASC) is located on the Etiwanda Colony Elementary School campus. ASC provides a blended learning environment for students which includes both virtual and in-person components. For the 2024-2025 school year, students in ASC will participate in the Etiwanda Virtual Academy (EVA).
EVA provides daily synchronous instruction, asynchronous independent assignments, and Tier II instruction (small group or 1:1) for students in need of additional support. Students login to their virtual classes from home using the Zoom platform, Etiwanda teachers provide instruction during this time along with assignments which must be completed by students outside of online class time. Lessons and assignments are prepared using the same district adopted curriculum used in all Etiwanda classrooms. Students also participate in district adopted diagnostic assessments to determine their individual needs. Students take these assessments three times throughout the school year in-person at the Etiwanda Colony School location.
