Welcome to the Etiwanda School District Band Page
The Etiwanda School District is very proud of its band program. Students in Etiwanda have a tradition of excellence in music stretching back for decades. The band program begins in fifth grade at the elementary schools and continues at the middle schools through grades 6, 7, and 8. Each band does slightly different things, but students can look forward to performing in concerts, taking field trips to perform off campus, and lots of fun times making music together with friends. The songs at the beginning are simple folk songs like Mary Had a Little Lamb, but as students improve, they progress into more difficult music, including movie themes. Upon completion of their time in middle school, students are well prepared to advance to the award-winning programs at Etiwanda High School, Los Osos High School, and Rancho Cucamonga High School. While some students from Etiwanda have gone on to pursue careers in music as performers, teachers, and more, tens of thousands of students have enjoyed the experience of making music together as a group and supporting one another as a musical community.
