Local School Wellness Policy

As a Local education agency that participates in the National School Lunch Program (NSLP) and School Breakfast Program (SBP), Etiwanda School District has developed and implemented a Local School Wellness Policy (LSWP) in accordance with the framework and guidelines set out in the Final Rule: Local School Wellness Policy Implementation Under the HHFKA of 2010

The LSWP is an important tool for our district and community in promoting student wellness, preventing and reducing childhood obesity, and helping to ensure school food nutrition guidelines meet the minimum federal standards.

The policy is developed by the District Wellness Committee which includes teachers, parents, administrators, and district staff, including health services and the Child Nutrition department.  To find out how you can participate in the continuous refinement of the LSWP, please visit the District's wellness page here.
