Mrs. Engebretsen

My name is Sarah Engebretsen and I am excited for this upcoming school year! I received my Multiple Subject Teaching Credential and Masters Degree in Education from Chapman University. It is a pleasure to be part of the Etiwanda Family at Day Creek Intermediate School and an honor to work with the most amazing seventh-grade team.

I believe in the power of choice, therefore my class motto is "Life is About Choices".  I believe that life is about choices and what we choose to do with them.  I believe that every choice has an effect, and these effects can be either positive or negative.  I believe our choices not only affect oneself, but others too. Therefore, let us be cautious in our choices and always try to choose wisely.

I am very excited to be teaching seventh-grade, and the growth students experience this year will be substantial. I look forward to making many memories with your child this year.

On a personal level, I love to spend time with my family and friends. I enjoy exercising and being outdoors,  watching and participating in sports, as well as, reading, binge watching tv, cooking/baking, and most of all teaching!

If you have any questions or concerns, email is the best way to get a hold of me. I will respond within a 48 hour period and between the hours of 7am - 4pm Monday thru Friday. Please respect this as I am also a wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and cousin to my family.
