My name is Corrie Blake and I have the pleasure of joining your student on this learning journey through the second grade. This year will be full of discovery, new ideas, great friends, and growth. This year is going to be an exciting and fun filled year!

This is my 23rd year at D.W. Long!  My passion is teaching, but I also enjoy reading, spending time with friends and family, traveling. As a teacher, I believe in respecting the intelligence of children. I believe that every child wants to learn and will develop new skills and information in an individual way. My job is to encourage those interests in learning with your child and share as much information as possible with you on our progress.

My name is Andrea Hernandez  and I am very excited to be your child’s second grade teacher for this school year!  This will be my 18th year teaching in the Etiwanda School District, but Etiwanda has always been my home.  I grew up in Fontana so Etiwanda was my school district beginning in the third grade until I graduated from Etiwanda High School.  From there I attended the University of California at Santa Cruz where I received my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Education.  I then moved back to Southern California in 2004 where I decided to pursue a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential and my Masters in Education.  I graduated from Azusa Pacific University in 2008 with both of these in hand. It is with great enthusiasm that I set off on this year’s second grade journey with your student!

Hi, my name is Mrs. Singleton! This is my 27th year of teaching and I am excited to be back in Second Grade. I have worked at several schools within the district, provided professional development, and I have acted as the Grade Level Chair for multiple years. In addition, I have worked as a mentor teacher to student teachers while teaching TK-2nd across the years. My teaching journey began in LAUSD after graduating from UCLA where I taught Kinder for 4 years. After that my family and I moved to the Inland Empire and West Heritage was my first Etiwanda home. I taught Second Grade for 6 years there then Long became my second Etiwanda home where I continued in Second Grade. I'm happy to be back and I am looking forward to a great year! ​

Welcome to Room 4! I am so thrilled to be your student's learning leader! Second grade is an exciting year filled with growth and exploration and I Iook forward to watching your student grow! This is my 8th year teaching 2nd graders at DWL. I live in Ontario with my husband Bryan and our beautiful daughter Willa, and our goldendoodle Oakley. Our family likes to go camping, attend sporting events, try new coffee shops, and spend time with our friends and family. My favorite part about second grade is their enthusiasm for learning and fun! I am excited for this year. It is going to be great!

My name is Mrs. Barragan-DeLeon (Mrs. BD) and I will be your child's 2nd grade teacher this year.  I am so excited to be starting a new year with you and your child.  
A little about myself, I have been teaching at DW for 25 years now (wow, I know I just aged myself)!  These years have been an incredible journey and calling on my life.  I am passionate about what I do, and feel very blessed to be able to be a part of your child's educational life.  
I live in San Bernardino with my husband Steve, and  my dog  Zorro.  I have two beautiful daughters, Lauren and Taylor.  I have three beautiful grandchildren who are an incredible blessing to us. My family is the heart and light of my life.
I am looking forward to meeting all of you at our Back To School Night on Tuesday, August 6th.  I am anticipating a great year of education for your child, and am excited to see what this school year has in store for us!
