Dear K1 Families,

I am pleased to introduce myself to you and welcome your family to our school. My name is Mrs. Kate Geye and I will be your child’s kindergarten teacher. I have been teaching in the Etiwanda School District since 2001. I am also a proud original Colony Cub teacher. I have been lucky enough to watch our school blossom since we opened. I am thrilled to be part of the awesome Etiwanda Colony team again this year! I received my Bachelor’s Degree and my teaching credential at Montana State University. I completed my Master’s Degree in Education through the University of New England.

I believe that every child wants to learn and will develop new skills and acquire knowledge in their own individual way. My job is to encourage those interests in learning with your child and share as much information as possible with you about our progress. Your insights about your child’s growth are critical for me for our success. You are welcome to contact me at any time. If you have any questions, comments, or concerns please let me know immediately so we can help your child together. I truly believe that the education of your child is achieved through a successful partnership between home and school.
