Meet The Teacher

My name is Teresa Rivas and I have been teaching for twenty-four years. This is my twentieth year teaching at Etiwanda Intermediate. I can fluently speak, read, and write in Spanish. I earned a B.A. degree in Liberal Studies from California State University Fullerton, a Master's degree in Education from Walden University, and I hold a California Multiple Subject Teaching Credential. I have been a cheer coach and a drill team advisor. I currently am the ASB advisor here at EIS. This is my sixteenth year teaching ASB.

My family consists of five wonderful children and two fur babies. My oldest daughter graduated from Cal Poly Pomona and works in fashion marketing. My son is a college junior at UC San Diego and works as a real estate agent. My youngest daughter recently graduated from Rancho Cucamonga High School and is now attending Cal State Long Beach. My husband and I married three years ago and from this marriage, I gained two bonus sons. And finally, there are my fur babies, Nala and Toby.

Family is everything to me and I enjoy spending time with them. Mini-vacations or game/movie nights are our favorites. I am blessed and grateful for how close we are.
