Adam from Terra Vista had a great time dressing up as his favorite book, "The Giving Tree."

Mrs. Ford from Perdew Elementary is receiving a high five today from the Yelin family. They love that Mrs. Ford, rain or shine, greets the students every morning with a big smile, which sets the stage for a great day of learning. We are certain Perdew's community agrees that Mrs. Ford is amazing.

From eating green eggs and ham to dressing up as a favorite literacy character, our Etiwanda students had a great time during their Read Across America activities. At Golden Elementary, we even had community volunteers from the Arrowheart Foundation read to some of our students.

Black History Month is being observed across our district. Here are a couple of the activities our students participated in.

Solorio Elementary hosted a Black History Month Career Day featuring Tony Thurmond, the state superintendent of California, as a special guest speaker. What an engaging and inspiring event for everyone that attended. Way to go, Solorio Tigers!!! #etiwandaexcellence

Today, we're giving a high five to the members of SEAC, a student advisory group. They have met with a district advisor a few times this school year to give feedback on programs at their school sites. Throughout the meetings, they are engaged, kind, and responsible.

Join our amazing ESD library team on Wednesday, February 22 from 5:30–7:30 PM at the Rancho Cucamonga Barnes and Noble. They are hosting Stuart Gibbs, author of the FunJungle, with a night packed full of games, crafts, prizes, and more. All ages are welcome with an adult.
