RoARy’s Accelerated Reader Program
Dear Families,
We are excited to kick off our Accelerated Reader program for the 2022/2023 school year. Students will have the opportunity to take tests after reading books at home and in the classroom. At the end of each marking period, students that reach their AR goal will receive an award and attend a celebration.
Goals are generated based on personal independent reading levels on the STAR test. During the first two AR marking periods, students in first grade will need to master 50 of their sight words each time.
AR Marking Period Schedule:
Marking Period 1: August 8, 2022- September 16, 2022
Marking Period 2: September 17, 2022- October 28, 2022
Marking Period 3: October 29, 2022- December 16, 2022
Marking Period 4: December 17, 2022- February 10, 2023
Marking Period 5: February 11, 2023- March 24, 2023
Marking Period 6: March 25, 2023- May 12, 2023
