EVA is a blended program that includes online lessons and daily live instruction by Etiwanda teachers using approved Etiwanda District curriculum. The Etiwanda Virtual Academy is considered a long-term independent study program and is an option for families seeking an alternative education program.
Program features include:
Blended instruction with in person student engagement opportunities for socialization and academics. The CAASPP assessment and i-Ready trimester assessments will be administered in person.
Tuition-free public at-home school program offered by the Etiwanda School District
Students complete assignments at-home throughout the day
Credentialed Etiwanda teachers meet with students on Zoom for approximately 60-70 minutes each day.
Progress monitored through district i-Ready assessments and state SBAC summative assessments
Individualized support for students in need of additional assistance through the Tier ll Program.
Monthly in-person engagement activities.
Parent/Guardian is the at home learning coach who supports his/her child by:
Creating a workspace that is free of distraction.
Establishing daily routines for online course work access.
Monitoring attendance and assignments.
An Etiwanda teacher provides education support through:
Daily live virtual instruction for lessons and/or class interaction.
Assessment analysis to determine student needs.
Support plan development for students in need of additional assistance.
