Welcome to the 2023-24 school year!

My name is Mr. Garibay! I am very excited to be at HIS teaching Physical education!

I am entering my 24th year of teaching!

Some fun facts about me are...

I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Kinesiology from Cal State University San Bernardino!

I earned my Master's Degree in Teaching and Curriculum from National University (Lajolla, Ca)!

I had the privilege to help open HIS back in 2002!

I look forward to an amazing school year!!

PHILOSOPHY

The Physical Education Department at Heritage Intermediate School strives to educate students about their physical selves and to create an enthusiasm for lifelong physical activity. Our goal is to provide a coeducational program that will offer each student an opportunity for individual success. By emphasizing the development and maintenance of an active and physically fit body, students are encouraged to build good health habits early in life that will carry over into an enriched adulthood.

LOCKERS/DRESS OUT DATES

8th and 7th bring PE clothes on Monday, August 14 to put in their lockers!

8th and 7th grades FIRST DAY to dress out will be Tuesday, August 15!

6th grade will be receiving their PE Lockers and PE Clothes that have been purchased starting Monday, August 14!

6th grade FIRST DAY to dress Monday, August 21!
