Options for funding college and other forms of higher education will be examined. A mock job fair will be held to conclude this elective.

Weekly Plans:

Identify life goals, interests, and monthly budgets.

Week 2:

Research careers: workplace responsibilities, annual salaries, education requirements, etc.

Week 3:

Learn about high school's A-G graduation requirements, along with the different opportunities for extracurricular clubs and activities high school has to offer.

Week 4:

Explore the types of colleges, along with the programs each has to offer.

Week 5:

Gain an understanding of how to pay for college and/or apply for scholarships.

Week 6:

Discover how to create a resume and apply to and interview for a job.

Universal Access

Our primary focus will be to develop foundational skills in Language Arts and reinforce what is being taught in class.

This will be accomplished by participating in different vocabulary, reading fluency and comprehension activities, as well as reading different novels together.
