PBIS Information

The mission of PBIS is to foster a positive school culture and learning environment where all members of the Solorio Elementary School community are respectful, responsible and safe.

We seek to establish, teach and practice proactive strategies and expectations that build character. A welcoming culture will support positive behavior needed to promote academic growth and excellence.  This will be achieved by transforming the school’s behavior management system and implementing Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS).

The ultimate goal is to effectively implement PBIS, an evidence-based, tiered framework, that will improve social and academic outcomes, minimalize discipline incidents, and help school educators and support staff feel more effective as they increase positive interactions with students.

Solorio Expectations

Establishing positive school wide expectations, or norms, that reflect the shared values of a school community (i.e., educators, students, families) is an important step toward creating a positive teaching and learning environment.
